In The Beginning
Established in 1985 by Bill and Esther Gibbs, Gibbo's Black Cat Transport was truly a family owned business. One man, one truck, turned into ten men and ten trucks.
The most iconic truck was Gibbo's Black Cat, a 1984 Ford Ltl 9000 with all facing white lights, the one setting the benchmark of the time as other trucks were running orange lights.
A successful business with contacts to major businesses such as Visy, MeadowLea and Omicron to name a few.
From 1985 to 2000 the highways of Australia were graced with Black Cat Transport trucks delivering in a safe and timely manner. Unfortunately in the year 2000, due to ill health the trucks were sold and the business closed.
Gibbo went on to do interstate piloting under Gibbo's Interstate Pilot Service for other transport companies such as Dandenong Heavy Haulage.
Sadly, in 2012 Gibbo aged 62, after a double lung transplant and multiple medical interventions, passed away.

LUKE & JUMPING JACK FLASH
After 20 years, Gibbo's only daughter Lauren and son in law Luke have relaunched the family business under the name Black Cat Transport. Once again, the highways of Australia will be graced with the Black Cat name, ensuing the legacy created by Bill and Esther will live on.
After 15 years working in finance, Luke is swapping his desk for a truck cabin. An avid car enthusiast, from a young age Luke always wanted to be able to drive trucks, it was just fate, that when he met Lauren, her dad was a truckie, it was meant to be.
Luke will be hitting the road and Lauren will be managing the business behind the scenes, handling accounts and bookings, whilst raising our 3 young boys.
No job will be too big or too small, too near or too far, Black Cat Transport prides itself on Trust and Legacy, therefore coining the phrase " A Legacy of Trust"
